10.10.2014 INFORMATION FROM PGNIG SA AND GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. ON THE SUPPLY OF GAS TO POLAND

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA (PGNiG SA) and Gas Transmission Operator GAZ-SYSTEM S.A. hereby announce that gas supplies to Poland from the east from 3 October 2014 to 9 October were made at a stable level assuring the secure operation of the transmission system in Poland. All end users of gas in Poland receive gas in accordance with their needs.

Over the past week, the national average gas consumption was more than 33 million m3 per day. The demand for gas is covered by imported supplies and domestic extraction. The underground gas storage facilities are at the moment filled with approximately 2.6 bilion m3 of gas.
In accordance with the applicable commercial contract with Gazprom Export, PGNiG SA has ordered larger quantities of gas at the points of entry into the transmission system on the eastern border because of the ongoing pumping of natural gas into the gas storages, which are being expanded. However, these were not confirmed or supplied by the Russian supplier on successive days.
The quantities of gas used for filling the increased storages have been supplemented by supplies from the west.
A further communication will be published if the situation regarding gas supplies to Poland changes. If the situation does not change, the companies will publish the next summary on gas supplies to Poland on 17 October 2014.
