29.10.2013 PGNiG SA is testing gas flow at the Hermanowice exit point
Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA concluded an agreement with Ukraine-based DTEK Trading on the supply of natural gas for the purpose of evaluating the possibility of natural gas transmission across the territory of Poland to the Polish transmission system's exit point in Hermanowice.
The test, during which a maximum of 3.5m m3 of gas will be transmitted daily, began on October 28th 2013 and is scheduled to continue for several days.
At the Hermanowice point, located on the Polish-Ukrainian border, the transmission pipeline operator offers capacities on an intermittent basis with the lowest, i.e. fourth, reliability grade.
If the results of the test delivery are satisfactory, PGNiG SA will evaluate the possibility of long-term gas supply through the exit point.
