17.12.2013 Seventh time in RESPECT Index for PGNiG
For the seventh consecutive time, Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo SA has been included in the prestigious group of companies making up the RESPECT Index, the CEE region's first index of socially responsible businesses, maintained by the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
The RESPECT Index is intended to promote responsible management of listed companies in the context of sustainable development, corporate disclosure discipline and communication with the financial markets. The current RESPECT Index features 25 companies.
To qualify for the index, candidate companies are first subject to a three-stage assessment carried out by the WSE in the three above areas, as well as to an audit performed by project partner Deloitte. As part of the process, the companies are also required to complete an extensive survey, followed by the detailed audit. PGNiG has been listed in the RESPECT Index since it was launched in November 2009.
