“We are proud of the result achieved. Advancing from the second position last year to the top spot confirms our constant commitment to transparent communication with shareholders and investors. More and more companies are striving to improve their financial reporting system and competition in this area is growing year by year. We are pleased that the effort we put into creating a professional, reliable report has been appreciated,” said Michał Pietrzyk, Vice-President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA for Finance.

The evaluated Annual Report consists of financial statements prepared in accordance with IFRS / IAS, the Management Board's report on operations, the online report and a paper marketing report. In addition to the figures for the PGNiG Group and all business segments, the Report includes animations presenting key achievements and video comments. The material includes business and financial as well as social, environmental and employee areas. The report is fully interactive and allows for analyzing data in many different ways.

The purpose of the "The Best Annual Report" competition is to select annual reports of model construction and highest utility, in accordance with applicable formal requirements, recommendations of international institutions and good practices.

The final gala of “The Best Annual Report” took place on October 16, 2019 on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The award on behalf of the PGNiG Group was received by:

• the First Main Award "The Best Annual Report" in the "Enterprises" category - Michał Pietrzyk, Vice President of the Management Board of PGNiG SA for Finance;

• Distinction for the best application of IFRS / IAS - Violetta Jasińska-Jaśkowiak, Director of the Accounting Department, Chief Accountant;

• Distinction for the best marketing report - Aleksandra Sobieska-Moroz, Director of the Economic Department.
